Why was my option sold?

Per our platform terms, eToro Options will sell option positions on your behalf at 3:30 pm ET on expiration. You may be notified within the app and/or via email that your option is expiring. If you don’t sell the option yourself, eToro Options will sell it on your behalf. eToro Options reserves the right to sell out eligible contracts prior to the exercise date. 

Although eToro Options exercises its best efforts to execute this policy, there is no guarantee an option will be sold. Any positions resulting from the exercise/assignment of an unsold option are the responsibility of the user.
